Our latest find in Bradford on Avon - The Mill Cafe

We love Lerica’s hometown of Bradford on Avon - it's such a charming place with a great community vibe. Recently, the Lerica team had the pleasure of grabbing lunch together at a cosy spot in town, The Mill Café. It's the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, and we can't get enough of it.

The Mill Café is the brainchild of Mark Duckett and his wife, Emma Peacock. They kicked off their latest adventure back in May 2022. Nestled in the historic Mill building over at Lamb Yard, this café is all about serving up delicious breakfast, tasty lunches, and some of the best drinks in town.

Leona Gray and Kerry Kemp from the team are a big fans of the café. They love it not only because it's a stone's throw away from our office but also because of the warm, welcoming atmosphere. And their top pick from the menu? The Club sandwich, hands down. Leona says The Mill Café is the go-to place for not just their great food and coffee, but also because it supports local businesses in the town.

Mark Duckett, with his rich background as a chef at Leigh Park Country House Hotel, shared that opening a café in Bradford on Avon was a dream come true. Now, almost two years in, he's been really pleased by the community's support. And it's easy to see why. With its comfy indoor and outdoor seating, dog-friendly policy, and free wifi, The Mill Café is more than just a café; it's a community hub.

In January 2024, The Mill Café jumped on board with the Chatly Café Scheme. It's a fantastic initiative that's all about helping people feel a bit more connected and less isolated. We're all for it!

Lerica’s Managing Director, Claire Swain, summed it up perfectly. “We often find ourselves at The Mill Café, whether it's for a quick coffee break or, like recently, for a lovely team lunch during our Away Day. It's always a treat to dig into their fantastic menu.”
